Walk one block East from our B&B and you hit the beach. Ocean City's beach stretches for 10 miles from the Inlet to the Delaware border along the Atlantic Ocean. The sand is soft and warm, the waves are big and the water is crystal clear. A great beach for swimming, surfing or sunning.
Once on the beach, stop by the Beach Stands to rent umbrellas, boogie boards and chairs and make your experience complete. The beach is open to the public free of charge. Our lifeguards man their chairs from 10:00am till 5:30pm. Your protection is their #1 priority.
And don't forget to witness the glorious sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean and the spectacular sunsets over the Bay.
One block from our B&B is Ocean City's Famous Boardwalk... the heart of Downtown Ocean City. Stroll down this renowned boardwalk and explore Ocean City, Maryland's colorful history at the Life-Saving Station Museum, or take a walking tour of our historic downtown area. Grab a bite to eat from a myriad of restaurants and food counters. Hit the rides at Trimpers, play at the arcades, walk through Ripley's Believe It or Not, have your Olde Time Photo taken or just sit and "people watch". The fun is endless in Downtown Ocean City.
Be sure to save a day to explore Assateague Island. This beautiful barrier island is located on the Maryland/Virginia Eastern Shore and is only a 10-minute drive from Atlantic House B&B.
Assateague Island has the famous Assateague wild ponies...beautiful, tough, and wild. Be ready to take pictures as you can spot the wild ponies anywhere on the island. Spot foxes, deer and thousands of birds. Walk the nature trails, paddleboard, kayak and surf, etc.
It is a unique experience. When you are there you realize the beauty and the natural surrounding that make this island one of the most beautiful and serene places you can visit.
Voted "America's Coolest Small Town" in 2014, Berlin, Maryland is a short drive from the Atlantic House B&B. This charming little town starred in two major motion pictures, "Runaway Bride" and "Tuck Everlasting".
Berlin has a wide variety of shopping, dining and cultural experiences. With more than 50 retail shops, an abundance of restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, wine bars and antique shops, this quaint town has much to offer visitors and residents alike.
Be sure to check the Calendar of Events for Berlin and join the locals for one of their many fairs, festivals and music conventions. Visit galleries featuring fine art, co-ops and handmade crafts. So much to do in such a little town!
